LinkORB Engineering is looking to expand our global team of 100% remote technology professionals and hiring for technical lead. This position offers flexible hours, accommodating both part-time and full-time candidates.

This leadership position plays a critical role in technical decision-making and execution across a technology stack centered on PHP/Symfony, Ubuntu Linux, Apache2, MySQL/MariaDB, and tooling such as Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus, and Ansible.

Responsibilities

At LinkORB, the Technical lead:

    👉

    Makes recommendations and facilitates consensus across technical team members on topics such as:

    • Platform, library, and tooling selections
    • Architecting for modularity, reusability, and scale
    • Coding conventions and engineering workflow
    • Security and testing best practices and standards
    👉

    Translates strategic plans, project charters, and group discussion into discrete, actionable, engineering work items.

    👉

    Creates, prioritizes, and monitors project plans and engineering work items through completion.

    👉

    Anticipates, responds to, and resolves technical and business blockers raised by developers.

    👉

    Maintains a healthy and positive engineering culture.

Requirements

An ideal candidate for the Technical lead role is someone who:

    ✅

    Has at least 5 years of PHP software development experience

    ✅

    Has at least 2 years of experience managing software engineers

    ✅

    Has demonstrable technical project or product management experience
