PHP Code Quality Engineer

Ensures PHP code quality and consistency through automated and manual code-reviews, writing and maintaining standards and coaching the team.

Overview

LinkORB Engineering is looking to expand our global team of technology professionals and currently hiring for a PHP Code Quality Engineer.

What we expect from a PHP Code Quality Engineer:

Tools, frameworks, standards and technologies you'll use:

• GitHub: Pull-Requests, Code Reviews
• PHP, PHP-FIG / PSR, Symfony 5/6, Composer
• PHPStan, PHP-CS-Fixer, PHPMD, etc
• Docker, Docker Compose
• Markdown for writing documentation, coding standards, etc

Responsibilities

At LinkORB, the PHP Code Quality Engineer role is responsible for:

• 👉 Perform code reviews on GitHub Pull-requests in PHP project, and provide helpful feedback to developers
• 👉 Setup, configure and maintain static analysis tools like PHPStan, PHP-CS-Fixer, PHPMD, etc
• 👉 Own the PHP Coding Standards documentation. Establish standards with the team, document them, and ensure they are followed.
• 👉 Collect and document best practices for PHP development
• 👉 Collect and report on metrics about code quality, and code consistency
• 👉 Fix coding standards violations, and improve code quality by refactoring code
• 👉 Testing and troubleshooting apps in production
