Overview
LinkORB Engineering is looking to expand our global team of remote technology professionals and currently hiring for a data fixture engineer.
Responsibilities
At LinkORB, the Data Fixture Engineer role is responsible for:
👉 Writing and improving application data sets
👉 Carefully design test scenarios that demonstrate or validate new and existing application features
👉 Defining and maintaining user-personas; structured, reusable data sets that represent specific user types and user lifecycle behaviors used across multiple applications
👉 Publish and maintain your test data sets using git
👉 Use common data fixture tools, libraries and formats such as Alice, Faker and raw YAML data.
👉 Code review fixture data written by collegues
👉 Reverse engineer applications and their database schemas to understand the data model, relationships and constraints.
👉 Install and configure applications and their dependencies in a development environment (we provide preconfigured GitHub CodeSpaces for this)
👉 Document your understanding of the application data model and data fixtures
👉 Engaging and collaborating with the development and product teams to continuously improve the quality of application data sets
👉 Help to define standards and best practices for data fixture engineering
