LinkORB Engineering is hiring for a Ansible Playbook Developer to expand our global team of technology professionals.

Our infrastructure consists of virtual private servers running Ubuntu Linux, hosted at providers like DigitalOcean, Linode and Tilaa.

Tools technologies and services we actively use: Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, Prometheus, MySQL, MariaDB, Loki, Apache2, PHP, Ansible, Rundeck, Git, GitHub, WireGuard, Mattermost, Matomo, Rackspace, Google Workspace, and a set of self-hosted internal tools.

In your role as Ansible Playbook Developer, you will write, maintain and improve multiple Ansible git repositories.

Your playbooks will be developed and tested in isolated environments. Once accepted, you will work with our production team to deploy your playbooks to production.

You take pride into quality and maintainability of your code, and ensure that your playbooks are well documented.

Responsibilities

At LinkORB, the Ansible Playbook Developer:

    Writes, maintains, and improves multiple Ansible git repositories.

    Detects and reports on drift between production and playbooks.

    Develops "runbooks" for common tasks (incident response, maintenance work, compliance checks).

    Ensures that your playbooks are well documented, and follow best practices.

    Tests playbooks in isolated environments.

    πŸ‘‰

    Collaborates with production admins to deploy playbooks to production.

    πŸ‘‰

    Researches and develops new technologies to improve our infrastructure and services.

    Contributes to our Ansible codebase by submitting pull requests.

    Reviews and provides feedback on Ansible pull requests submitted by other team members.
